Dzmitry Silchanka, an activist of Young Democrats organization, was attacked on the night of April 22.
Dzmitry was walking down Valadarski Street in Minsk centre wearing a national white-red-white flag as a scarf that drew attention of security guards from the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the press service of the United Civil Party (UCP) reports.
Guards came to Silchanka and ordered to follow them. They entered the building to phone their bosses to get orders regarding the detained activist. It remains unknown what they heard on the phone in reply, but they then demanded Zmitser to give them the flag. Zmitser refused. One of the guards beat the activist, seized the flag and kicked Zmitser out of the building.
The activist says the guards did not introduce themselves and ignored the demand to give a feedback book.
