Riot police detain football fans in Minsk (Photo)

A group of teenagers of 13 and 14 years old was detained by riot police on Varanyanski Street in Minsk.

The children were loaded into a police vehicle and taken in an unknown direction.

TUT.BY reached major Alyaksandr Lastouski, a Minsk police spokesman, for comments.

“We received information yesterday,” he says. “that some football fans plan to organize a mass fight on Lokomotiv Stadium, where Torpedo and Partizan were to have a match. Moreover, some hooligans drew graffiti on the stadium and the nearby buildings. In this regard, we took a decision to increase vigilance and prevent possible violations of order.
