Rus association to complain Putin about Belarusian authorities

Representatives of the Belarusian public organization Rus want to meet with Vladimir Putin during his visit to Minsk.
We remind the court suspended activity of the association for 6 months on request of the Ministry of Justice of Belarus. The scandal with the biggest organization of ethnic Russians went unnoticed for media, though it was accompanied by judicial actions and purges, when attempts were made to expel uncomfortable members from Rus.
“We think our organization is being eliminated purposefully,” Gennady Vlasov, who leads Rus for several years, told Narodnaya Volya newspaper. “Rus marks its 20th anniversary this year, but to be honest, we are not in the mood to have a party. There's a course to split our organization, divide it into pieces and destroy it. That's why we have written a letter asking Vladimir Putin to meet with us. Frankly speaking, I do not know if he will be informed about our appeal. But I cannot say a position of the Russian Embassy in Minsk is constructive.
“We have to appeal to the president of Russia, because we do not hope for the Belarusian court. We have experienced and respected lawyers among organization members, but they appeared to be helpless. We met absolute outrage. We have to seek Russian president's protection.”
