Lebedko goes to «deputy»

According to UCP deputy chairman Lev Margolin, the party will nominate about 50 candidates for election.

Lev Margolin also said that there would be scheduled an extraordinary congress of the United Civil Party for the nomination of candidates. According to him, it may be held in late July. There also will be a meeting of the political council, which will nominate candidates to the county commissions.

This is a fairly large amount of work, the politician said. He said the regional councils also have to nominate their representatives to election commissions. Those, forming action groups, must do so before mid-July.

"We’d like our thought to be voiced by such authoritative people as Anatoli Lebedko and Stanislav Bogdankevich," said Lev Margolin.

June 18 Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree, according to which elections to the House of Representatives will be held on September 23, while elections to the Council of the Republic - from June 30 to September 30, 2012.
