Independent observer in Maladzechna shown the door

The chair of the election commission was angry with Eduard Balanchuk because he told the media about fake signatures.

“We will never show you anything again!” Svyatlana Yurchyk, the chair of constituency commission of constituency No. 72 in Maladzechna, told independent observer Eduard Balanchuk. The aggressive reaction was caused by the fact that he told independent media about controversial actions of the commission, Viasna human rights centre reports.

The commission chair turned Eduard Balanchuk out of doors during his last visit to the commission. The chair refused to talk to him and recommended to read article 13 about the rights of observers. Eduard only had time to remind that the articles is titled “Publicity during the preparation and holding the elections”.

Eduard thinks commission members will no show him anything after he had informed independent media that he saw signatures for pro-governmental candidate Halina Lazouskaya and doubted their quality.
