The word "London" is now banned?

140

Unknown people in plain clothes persistently asked the owner of Minsk Cafe "London" to paint over the inscription with its name.

This was reported in the social network "Facebook" by journalist Yanina Melnikava.

"London" is located in the center of Minsk, on the Independence Avenue. Unknown people in civilian clothes visited the owner and asked him to paint over the name on the fence of the summer cafe. The TV channel "Belsat" reports that they were KGB agents.

It is possible that such excessive zeal of security officials is connected with care about the mental health of the Belarusian dictator. The fact that he was not allowed to present at the Olympics, which are now held in London, has already dealt much damage to the ailing ego of Aliaxandar Lukashenka.

As the website charter97.org reported, the Belarusian ruler was banned from visiting the British capital because of the repressions against the opposition and human rights violations.

It is unknown whether the KGB asked to change the name of the cafe or stopped only on the inscription on the fence of the summer cafe.
