Skype account and mailbox of the labor union of Radio-Electric Industry [REI] have been hacked

On Friday, August 3, foreign colleagues of the REI labor union found that other people respond on behalf of labor union activists.

Head of International Department of the partner organization of the REI labor union - Denmark's largest labor union 3F - Mads Lund on August 3 received a message via Skype on behalf of the REI labor union, asking for documents signed by the chairman Gennady Fedynich. In addition the message contained information that the leader of the REI labor union is in hospital with a heart attack, according to praca-by.info.

Mads Lund was surprised and decided to ask personal questions, which could only know the employees of the labor union office. There was no answer. And at the same time these same questions from the REI Skype were asked to those who were in the Skype contact list of the labor union. People began to contact with the office and ask what was happening, because it looked strange.

Thus, the press secretary of the REI labor union Mikalai Gerasimenka was asked about what souvenirs brought Gennady Fyadynich to his Danish colleagues during a visit to Copenhagen in June. Another one activist was asked in which restaurant was organized a dinner during this visit.

- It should be noted that people, who received the messages on behalf of the REI labor union, quickly guessed that the situation causes suspicion - said Mikalai Gerasimenka. - At the end of the dialogue, my colleague suggested the interlocutors to not waste time and energy on unnecessary activities and to pay attention to real businesses, and reliably protect the borders of our country.

The answer was the phrase, "He laughs best who laughs last". However it was immediately removed.
