Claim to close down Platform association to be heard on October 9

Hearing of a claim to liquidate Platform information and educational association was postponed until October 9.

The main ground to close down Platform association is that the actual address differed from the registered one. The tax office says some official forms of the association have the address differing from the legal one. Taxation officers also questioned the householders society of the building, where Platform association rents premises, BelaPAN news agency reports.

Platform director Andrei Bandarenka noted in the court none of regulations specifies what address an  organization should have in its official forms and said it cannot prove the organization is not present at the registered office.

It was found out at the trial that an administrative fine notice for failure to be present at the registered office was sent by the tax office to the registered office address. The fact that Platform received the notice proves plaintiff's allegations have no grounds, Bandarenka thinks.

The court asked the tax office to show Platform's renal agreements for 2011-2012. Judge Aleh Klyuyko postponed the hearing. He said the trial was postponed for such a long time due to his vacation.

“The tax office should not have applied to a court having such arguments. They lose their face. There are not grounds to close us down. They don't have all necessary documents. Even the court understood it,” Andrei Bandarenka said.

“Even if we made a mistake by failing to submit documents to the tax office on time, we have corrected it. Their allegations that we are not present at the registered office have no grounds. It's absolutely clear that there are no reasons to close us,” Bandarenka said.
