Pavel Seviarynets: Eurasian integration is a road to backwardness

On the anniversary of Kalinouski’s rebellion the political prisoner speaks of the danger of the integration with Russia.

Belarus’ place is in the European family, Pavel Seviarynets stated in an interview to Radio Racyja.

“The threat of Belarus’ annexation by Russia has been growing in the recent years time after time. In parts, gradually, from Beltransgaz and new military bases to the absorption of bigger spaces by Russian mass culture, such a creeping seizure is being carried out. At the same time, the opposite process goes on: every day of the lame independence that we have objectively increases Bealrus’ viability chances. Which of these two processes wins?.. Of course, I would like to believe that it will be Belarusization and the strengthening of the understanding of the independence’s necessity in the consciousness”, - the politician says.

Pavel Seviarynets is sure, that the Eurasian Union and Eurasian integration – is the road to strengthening the dictatorship, loss of economic and political independence, the road to aggression and backwardness. “We belong to the European family”, - the politician says.

We would remind that Pavel Seviarynets is serving the punishment term in the special commandership No 7 in the village of Kuplin of Pruzhany district of Brest region. In May 2011 he was sentenced to three years of the limitation of freedom on the criminal case on “mass disturbances” in Minsk on 19 December 2010.
