MIA: More than 100 Asians took part in New Year scuffle in Minsk

20 Turkmen and Uzbeks had been detained in belarusian capital.

The incident happened during New Year celebrations near the Palace of Sports.

According to the information provided by MIA, a big group of "Asian region natives" behaved indecently with regard to each other and the passers-by. They did not react to the law enforcement officials. Moreover, they tried to resist to the police.

In the end, 20 people were detained, 18 of them are citizens of Turkmenistan who study in Minsk, 2 - citizens of Uzbekistan, workers of a foreign enterprise. Charges for petty hooliganism were made against them. The further destiny of the detainees and their stay in our country will be decided by the Kastrychnitski district court of Minsk.
