Dinamo Mn suffer 2-5 defeat from KHL Eastern Conference leader

The Belarusian team lost their second home game to KHL Eastern Conference leader Barys Astana 2-5 on 30 September.

Dinamo Minsk spotted Barys Astana 1-0 lead before firing two back in a span of one minute. The Minskers, however, could not beat Vitaly Yeremeyev again and Barys overwhelmed Dinamo the rest of the way with Brandon Bochenski’s hat-trick.

The guests grabbed the lead 5.33 into the game on a powerplay goal by Talgat Zhailauov. A number of penalties on Barys players provided the Bisons with several opportunities which Dinamo could not convert into goals.

The teams traded five goals in the second period which started on a positive note for the hosts. Oleg Goroshko fired from the blue line to tie the game at 3.21 of the period. Alexei Yefimenko took his team in front a little more than a minute later. Barys answered with two goals from Brandon Bochenski and one from Roman Starchenko who made the score 4-2 before the final stanza.

In the final period Barys held the hosts away from its zone and scored one more to sink Dinamo Minsk 2-5. Dustin Boyd and Brandon Bochenski rushed forward 2-on-1, with Dustin Boyd feeding Brandon Bochenski for his third goal in the match.

With seven points after ten games the Bisons go 13th in the Western Conference.

Dinamo Minsk host Yugra Khanty Mansiysk on 2 October.
