Valer Fralou: Authorities don’t want to link the accident to the “heroic military practice”

The perished captain could be injured at his service as well as during the military exercise Zapad-2013.

The opinion came from the general Valer Fralou as he commented for the charter97.org on the death of an officer of the Hrodna frontier guarding group.

“I do not know the circumstances of what happened at all, but a person can get injured even making a shut of vodka. It is not necessary for bullets to fly around. He could fall, could prick himself against something, may be a car went over him or a log fell on him – there are many options. When he was a lieutenant my friend wanted to marry my sister. He was standing on a tank, talking quietly and calmly, but then cursed someone in a truck and jumped right under the wheels of a KamAZ that was passing by. There are many things that may happen to a person that are impossible to predict. Sometimes you get surprised, how an experienced person gets into ridiculous situations, and it is difficult to even assume that one may die of it”, - the military man noted.

The general believes that the officer could get injured in the everyday life as well as during the military exercise Zapad-2013.

“If this took place during the exercise, all the more at the border, then the authorities are, probably, unwilling to in any way link the death to the “heroic military practice” that they spoke so much about. But there may be actually no link at all. Theoretically, anything may be supposed here”, - Valer Fralou concluded.
