Babruisk City Executive Committee refuses to register the Babruisk organization of the Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry.

The chairperson of the Babruisk organization of the Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry Halina Smirnova reported that the local authorities refused to register the trade union organization with the state. As it is stated in a letter signed by the deputy chairman of the executive committee Aliaksandr Markachou, “the letter of guarantee for the legal address has been revoked and the name of the union doesn't correspond to the requirements of the organization charter”.

“In fact, we faced with an insoluble issue of renting a premise for our legal address”, says Halina Smirnova. “The landlords agreed to lend us an office, but then suddenly canceled the contracts. I know that they were forced to do it. In particular, Director General of the open joint stock society “Belarushumatekhnika” stated that the contract for sub-rent was concluded with us by the head of company No. 2 without his knowledge, and therefore he canceled it. We entered into a rent agreement with the owner of the last office for a year and have all necessary documents. However, the open joint stock society “Attis-SHI” annulled its guarantee letter. We were told that the owner was allegedly selling that building.

Halina Smirnova and the head of the Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry Henadz Fiadynich didn't understand the meaning of the words about the non-compliance of the trade union name to its charter.

“The documents offers no explanations on this matter, there is just such formulation. I am going to come to the author of this letter and ask him to explain what he meant,” pointed Halina Smirnova.
