Powerful cyclone "Christopher" is going to Belarus

The cyclone will cause heavy rain, thunderstorms and scattered hail in our country.

A strong gusty wind is expected. The visibility will go down to 1 or 2 kilometres.

The temperature will be contrasting. It will reach 15-16 degrees Celsius in the west and 25-27 – in the east. Such weather is rather dangerous due to its unpredictability.

An orange alert is announced when “hot weather and meteorological conditions can produce a negative effect on people’s health, especially if they are in the risk group”. The risk group includes elderly people suffering from chronic diseases.
