The situation in Egypt has seriously escalated in the run-up to the anniversary of Mohamed Morsi’s inauguration, as the opposition plans to hold mass protests against the Islamists’ policy on 30 June. For the last two weeks Egypt has been in the grip of mounting hostilities.
