National Bolshevik activist beaten by police for leaflets against slavery

Dzmitry Paliyenka, a member of the organising committee to form the National Bolshevik Party, was beaten and detained for 5 days for leaflets against army slavery and mandatory conscription.

Charter97.org has learnt it from activist Dzianis Sakhar.

“He was detained near Mikhalova metro station last night. We launched a campaign against mandatory conscription. Dzmitry was sticking fly-posters. He was taken to the Maskouski district police department and beaten. Police officers made a report over article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences (disorderly conduct). Dzmitry was sentenced to five days in custody today,” the activist said.

It should be reminded that opposition activists are often beaten in Belarus.

Andrei Molchan, an activist of the civil campaign European Belarus, was detained and brutally beaten by police in Minsk last year for showing solidarity with former political prisoner Siarhei Kavalaenka.
