18

An action plan for market traders appeared at the cooperative market in Baranavichy on June 13.

According to it, sole traders will submit tax returns with zero income at 10 a.m. on June 30, visit the city executive committee on July 1, visit the employment centre on Jule 2 and come to Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk on July 3. The market traders are going to express their discontent over Lukashenka's decree No. 222 on small business. They also will try to find out what they can expect in the future, Viasna human rights centre writes.

“We have already filed applications to the Baranavichy district committee and the district administration. We wrote that market traders would not work from July 1 and pay rent during the the downtime. Market traders won't have holidays from July 1. We are going to see local officials to protect our rights. If we fail to do it in Baranavichy, we will go to Minsk's Kastrychnitskaya Square on July 3 to express our position,” activist Mikalai Charnavus says.
