Belarus' Staniouta 2nd at FIG World Cup in Minsk

Leader of the Belarusian rhythmic gymnastics national team Melitina Staniouta became 2nd in the all-round individual events at the 2014 FIG World Cup competitions in Minsk.

Melitina Staniouta scored a total of 72,866 points to claim silver. Yana Kudryavtseva of Russia topped the podium with a total of 74,583 points. Margarita Mamun of Russia scored 72,250 points to finish third. Yekaterina Galkina of Belarus kept her place in the top ten, going 6th with 68,700 points.

In group events (10 Clubs; 3 Balls and 2 Ribbons) Belarus finished 6th (34,000 points). The top three here were gymnasts from Bulgaria (34,800), Spain (34,300), and Japan and Israel who shared the third place with 34,150 points each.
