Ambassador Surikov: Ukrainian events have overhauled Belarusians (Video)

Russia’s Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov stated that the overwhelming majority of citizens of Belarus support Russia.

Russian Ambassador told about that in an interview to “Vesti” TV Channel ahead of consultations of Russian Ambassadors with president Putin in Moscow.

“The situation in Ukraine has completely overhauled the Belarusian society in its relations to Russia. If earlier about 50% of the Belarusian society were well-disposed to Russia, after the events in Ukraine, especially Crimea episode, more than 80% of Belarusians support the Russian Federation,” Russian Ambassador Surikov said.
