Lukashenka does not understand why Belarusians do not sell foreign currency

The dictator told Prime Minister to “improve some issues in economy.”

“It is very important that the home foreign currency market has been stabilized recently. The population has claimed down somehow, and enterprises started to sell more currently,” the dictator noted.

At the same time Lukashenka paid attention to the fact that in general population had in possession a great amount of foreign currency.

“I do not know what they had been preparing for, though we had always been saying that we didn’t plan to cause collapse the national currency, and we are going to support our national currency by all means. It will certainly happen not to the detriment of export, but we are going to pursue a predictable policy all the time,” Lukashenka said.

He instructed Myasnikovich to use the stabilization which is taking place, “to make improvements in some issues in the economy.”
