The minister of foreign affairs of Lithuania, Linas Linkevičius, will visit Belarus on July 25.
BelaPAN has learnt it from Rasa Jakilaitienė, a spokeswoman for the minister.
“I can only confirm that the visit will take place. Details will be available tomorrow,” she said.
Anatol Liabedzka, the chairman of the United Civil Party, wrote on Facebook: “Leaders of opposition and civil society will meet with Lithuanian foreign minister Mr Linkevičius on Friday.”
It's worth noting that Linas Linkevičius had worked as Lithuania's ambassador to Belarus from July 24 to November 28, 2012. He had to leave the post after being appointed minister of foreign affairs of Lithuania.
