Servicemen and rescuers not allowed to obtain Card of Pole

A ban on obtaining the Card of the Pole has been imposed today for officers of the Emergency Ministry and army officers.

The ban is not applied on conscripts, according to the law “On amendments to certain laws of the Republic of Belarus on military service”. The text of the law was published on the National Legal Portal on July 8.

“Officers of emergency agencies are prohibited to receive documents from foreign states that give them benefits and privileges for their political or religious views or nationality as well as to use such benefits and privileges unless otherwise is required by international agreements signed by the Republic of Belarus,” the law reads.

The law also prohibits army officers to receive such documents.

Earlier, a law was adopted to ban police officers, members of parliament and government officials to use the Card of the Pole.
