Turchynov demands Poroshenko to convene military council on account of Russia’s invasion

The situation in the Southern Front should be considered at the session.

Verkhovna Rada’s (the Ukrainian Parliament) Speaker Oleksander Turchynov demands Ukraine’s president and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Petro Poroshenko to hold a session of the Military council immediately. It is to include the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, the Interior Affairs Ministry, the National Guard, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Border Committee, the Foreign Intelligence Service, sources of censor.net website inform.

The Military council is to discuss the invasion of the troops of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, as well as their military advance in the direction of Starobeshevo, Kutejnikovo, Amvrosievka, Mariupol.

We remind that right after the talks in Minsk finished, separatists launched the offensive. A column of military hardware up 100 vehicles strong is moving in the direction of the settlement of Telmanovo (Donetsk region). They had come out of Starobeshevo. Telmanovo is situated just 60 kilometres away from Mariupol. In the direction of this city Russian paratroopers tried to break through the day before.
