US Department of State confirms offensive of Russian troops in Ukraine

The US Department of State confirms the activity of Russian regular troops in eastern Ukraine.

As journalist Myroslava Gongadze wrote on her Facebook page, it was said by State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki.

“The Department of State confirms the activity of Russian regular troops in eastern Ukraine. According to State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki, they have information about a Russian-directed counteroffensive. The spokeswoman raised concerns over the government’s unwillingness to tell the truth about the situation in Ukraine even to soldiers and their parents,” Myroslava Gongadze wrote.

Separatists launched an attack just after the talks in Minsk had ended. A column of up to 100 military vehicles was reported yesterday to be moving in the direction of Telmanove.
