Train with military equipment arrives in Belarus from Russia

A train carrying self-propelled mortars arrived in Belarus from Russia yesterday.

It is said by the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine.

“A Russian military train consisting of 65 flatcars with self-propelled mortars arrived yesterday from Russia at Homel-North station, Homel, Belarus,” the press release reads.

Charter97.org earlier reported about a train with tens of units of military equipment that was noticed in Homel. The photos, which appeared on the Internet, were made on August 1 near the fat-processing plant in the city's district Belitsa. “There are about 15 GAZ-66 military trucks with mortars and about 10 anti-armor systems,” a reader wrote.

It became known today that Russia concentrated 34 armoured vehicles with peacekeeping symbols on the border with Ukraine. The troops are located not near the border with the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, where the anti-terrorist operation is being carried out, but near the Chernihiv region, the shortest way from Russia to Kyiv.
