Roskomnadzor has new claims to Charter’97

The editorial office of charter97.org has received another notification about restricted access to an article at our website.

The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has blocked one more article at our website for Internet users in Russia. The editorial office has received notification from the Agency today, August 4.

The news item “Russia’s authorities thwart the march “No More Feeding Moscow! In Novosibirsk” is meant.

The decision has been adopted on the grounds of the demands of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Russia adopted on 04.08.2014 #27-27-2014/Id2520-14, as it contains “riotous statements, appeals to carrying out extremist activities, participation in mass rallies held with violation of the established procedure.”

Roskomnadzor demands to erase this information immediately.

Earlier, on August 1, Russian authorities blocked a charter97.org website’s page for Russian viewers with the news “Siberians want to proclaim Siberian Republic”.
