Lukashenka presents award to Fasel for championship in Minsk

The dictator presented state awards to 11 people for holding the Ice Hockey World Championship 2014 in Minsk.

Lukashenka signed the respective decree on 4 September. The charter97.org web-site learnt that from the ruler’s press-office.

The chairman of the Minsk city executive committee Mikalaj Ladutska was awarded the ‘Order of Fatherland’ of the III degree.

The head of the chief department of internal affairs of Minsk city executive committee, the major-general of police Aliaksandr Barsukou, first deputy chairman of the State Border Control Committee, major general Ihar Butkievich, the head of the supervision and prevention department of the Ministry for Emergencies, colonel Uladzimir Rafalski all received an order ‘For the Service to Motherland’ of III degree.

The president of the International Ice Hockey Federation Rene Fasel was awarded the ‘Order of peoples’ Friendship’.

The president of the Ice Hockey Federation of the Republic of Belarus Jauhien Vorsin was distinguished with the ‘Order of Honor’.

The medal ‘For Labour Services’ was awarded to the head of the administration of Minsk Zavadski district Aleh Zhoglo, the head of Minsk city executive committee’s department of household and hotel services Andrej Novikau, deputy Education Minister Siarhiej Rudy, first deputy head of the chief department for ideology, culture and youth affairs of Minsk city executive committee Vitalina Rudnikava, deputy chairman of Minskpromstroy Uladzimir Tarasievich.
