Employees of Belarusian Railway's main payment centre work four days a week?

Employees are made to take unpaid leave.

Charter97.org learnt it from a reader.

“My wife works at the main payment centre at Belarusian Railway. The staff had to take one day of unpaid leave in late January and five days in February,” he wrote.

A charter97.org journalist talked to the press service of Belarusian Railway. The company's spokesman Andrei Baravy denied the information:

“It is not true. We don't have such orders,” he answered.

It is not ruled out that demands to take unpaid leave were oral under the threat of being deprived of bonuses or fired. Such methods are widely applied in state-owned companies.
