Uladzimir Berazhkou’s Arrest Extended For 2 Months

On October 13 2 months expired since the moment of detention of "Dynamo" Minsk general manager, the suspect under Article 210 (Part 3) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

As the head of the information department of the Investigation Committee of Belarus Siarhei Kabakovich, the investigation continues, the level of restriction remains unchanged. According to "Pressball", the term of custody for Vladimir Berezhkov was extended for two months.

Under Article 190, Part 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Belarus (The term of preliminary investigation), "in criminal cases preliminary investigation must be completed not later than in two-months term after the criminal case was initiated, and before the case transferred to the prosecutor for taking to court, or until the day of termination of the proceedings in the case."

It should be noted that under Part 3 of the same Article 190 of the code of penal procedure , “the term of preliminary investigation established by Part 1 of this article, could be extended by prosecutors of district, city or by prosecutors equated with them, or deputy prosecutors for the criminal cases which are in charge of a prosecutor, is up to three months. Prosecutors of a region, the city of Minsk and prosecutors who are equated with them or deputy prosecutors for the criminal cases which are in charge of a prosecutor, the term is extended to up to 6 months.”
