Viachaslau Siuchyk: Elections In Belarus Could Take Place If Four OSCE Conditions Fulfilled

They were laid down as long ago as in the last century, and the dictator committed himself to follow them.

Although some significant events have taken place in Belarus: the release of the political prisoners, and of the persons arrested for political graffiti, people in in Belarus still don't have the possibility to elect the president. The scandalous farce we all witnessed destroys any possibilities for democratization of Belarus, Radio Racyja reports.

"This step of the West should not become a fatal mistake, and should not lead to the situation when the regime is financed by the West at present, and later the Belarusians will have to repay these loans. Therefore it is necessary to formulate what elections in Belarus should look like. To do that, the opposition should unite. Today it is high time to raise a question that the elections in Belarus could occur under certain conditions only. These are the so-called four conditions of the OSCE, that were adopted in the last century, which were signed by the dictator, and that he did not follow.

Another one should be added to these conditions -- the composition of electoral commissions should follow the principle: 50 per cent of representatives of the authorities, 50 per cent of opposition representatives. Otherwise it is impossible to achieve transparency and honesty in vote counting. If the mechanism of falsification is not overcome, finally it could happen that that the power will be inherited in Belarus, like in Azerbaijan, or in the Middle Ages,” – said the head of the movement" "Razam" Viachaslau Siuchyk.
