Sviatlana Kalinkina: Ananich can warn even American media

All departments in Belarus are preparing for "elections".

The Information Ministry is preparing a peculiar way of bringing warnings to independent media, such as "Radio Racyja" to report back they were on watch of state interests, Sviatlana Kalinkina, the editor-in-chief of Narodnaya Volya, says.

But in this case, Lilia Ananich could equally launch a warning to American media, Radio Racyja is registered and working in Poland, the expert notes.

- They can launch a warning to any site according to a new law. Frankly speaking, lawyers cannot exactly answer how it will act. In theory, the Ministry can now issue a warning even to American media. And Lilia Ananich will be the first person in the world with such authority.
