Belarusians who intended to join separatists will be tried in Ukraine.

Tatiana Pogukai, press secretary of the Department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in the Lugansk region informed tut.by. Earlier, the head of the local region administration wrote on his Facebook page that, "these two people did no harm, we would just send them to the homeland".

- The court will decide upon their punishment, Tatiana Pogukai said.

She explained that about a week ago the Belarusians were arrested by the Interior Ministry at the roadblock leading out of Lisichansk. Now the Security Service of Ukraine deals with them.

- They headed for Stakhanov. The reason for detention - they went to war with Ukrainians on the side of separatists. At the moment of the arrest they confessed, a representative of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine explained.

On his Facebook page Gennady Moskal, Head of the Lugansk region administration only said that those arrested were two men of 34 and 37 years old. They were from Brest region. One was a former trooper, the second one did not serve, but he was in support". He also mentioned that men were going to war "not because of ideological reason for a "Russian peace", but to earn money".

The Security Service of Ukraine in the Luhansk region does not provide with any details. Even employees of our embassy in Kiyv do not know anything else about them.
