BATE to play Barcelona, Roma, Bayer Leverkusen in Group E

The UEFA Champions League group stage was set following the draw in Monaco on 27 August.

FC BATE Borisov, who are making their 5th group stage appearance, will play Barcelona, Roma and Bayer Leverkusen in Group E. Among this year's rivals BATE has played only Barca before. In the previous years the Belarusian champion reached the UEFA Champions League group stage four times: in the 2008/09, 2011/12, 2012/13 and 2014/15 seasons. The Borisov team have never reached the Champions League playoff where only two best teams from each group advance. BATE finished third twice, which allowed them to play in the Europa League Last 32 (2010/11, 2012/13). This season Alexander Yermakovich's men successfully went through the qualification outplaying Ireland's Dundalk, Hungary's Videoton and Serbia's Partizan. BATE earned €14 million for reaching the group stage.

Two best teams from each group will advance into the round of 16. Teams finishing third will play in the Europa League Last 32.

The Round of 16 first leg is scheduled for 16-17 and 23-24 February 2016. The second leg is slated for 8-9 and 15-16 March 2016.

Quarterfinals: first leg 5-6 April 2015, second leg 12-13 April 2015.

Semifinals: first leg 26-27 April 2015, second leg 3-4 May 2015.

The Champions League final is decided by a single match, which this season will be held at the San Siro, Milan on 28 May 2016.
