Criminal Case Against Uladzimir Berazhkou Terminated

The property of the ex-General Manager of Dynama Minsk HC is also no longer under arrest.

Director of the Department for Marketing and Communications of the Belarusian Football Federation Uladzimir Berazhkou has been handed an official note informing that the criminal persecution against him was terminated and that his property was no longer under arrest, in the General Prosecutor’s Office, Pressball informs.

We remind, in August 2015 Berazhkou was detained and placed to the pre-trial detention center. The former General Manager of the Minsk ice hockey club Dynama Minsk was suspected in stealing the club’s finances by abuse of power.

In February 2016, Chairman of the Investigatory Committee of Belarus Ivan Naskevich stated that Berazhkou had fully recompensed the damage. In April 2016, Berazhkou was released under a non-leave obligation.

After release, Berazhkou got employed to the Belarusian Biathlon Club. Their cooperation appeared a short-term one – it lasted less than a month. “Initially, I told that my professional activity in biathlon was conducted not under a contract, but under a contractor’s agreement. They defined a certain scope of work on opening a medical center — the works have been completed by now, the term of the agreement has expired,” — he clarifies.

Today, Uladzimir Berazhkou works as a Director of the Department for Marketing and Communications of the Belarusian Football Federation.
