Inflation: Products Grew in Price by 75% Within Nine Months

Every month Belstat publishes data on inflation: what and how much grew or fell in price. For example, for the first time in 7 years in August the deflation was recorded. It did not last long. And next month prices rose again. By the way, according to official statistics, since the beginning of the year the inflation rate (compared to December 2015) in Belarus has amounted to 8.3%, kp.by writes.

Journalists have decided to explore price tags of the products we buy every day. All the more so as a catalog of Belarusian network of hypermarkets was at hand.

Prices of mid-December -2015 were taken as equivalent; they are compared to these being sold now. The data are impressive.

For example, pasta grew in price by 33%, flour - 22%, oranges - 50%, and pineapple - by 75%! There are positive changes - Chinese cabbage became cheaper by 17.27% That was the only product which became cheaper.
