Verkhovna Rada Deputy: Invasion Of Ukraine From Belarus Is Being Prepared

The Kremlin is preparing to carry out a large-scale provocation against Ukraine in Belarus.

Iryna Friz, a Verkhovna Rada deputy from the "Petro Poroshenko Bloc" fraction, wrote about this on Facebook, Gordon informs.

"There is information that the Kremlin is preparing for a large-scale provocation against Ukraine on the territory of Belarus. That it may be related to the fact that the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense increased the volume of railroad transportation in the direction of Belarus by five times in 2017. The aims of such activity may be as follows: to eliminate Lukashenka’s regime, to introduce Russian troops, to establish direct state administration, as well as to provide direct access for Russian armed forces to the eastern borders of the European Union in order to increase political pressure on Europe," – she wrote.

According to the deputy, the acts of provocation can be carried out with the involvement of persons, who fought on the side of armed gangs and Russian special forces in Donbass.

The military conflict in the east of the country began in April 2014. The Ukrainian military oppose the pro-Russian rebels, who partially control Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
