Court passed a sentence on Klim under article 328 of the Criminal Code.

Let us remind, that an information appeared in August about the detention of three musicians from Maladzechna. As law enforcement officers reported, about 40 grams of hashish and about 17 grams of dried marijuana were seized from the young men.

"The main suspect in the drug trafficking – a 32-year-old resident of Maladzechna, the founder of one of the famous Maladzechna reggae bands, – the head of Department for Drug Control and Trafficking in Human Beings Combatting in Maladzechna region Dzmitry Sukhotski said. – We detained the musician and his contemporary, friend and colleague, in a house of his friend in the Zalineinaia neighborhood, where the young people were smoking marijuana."

A case under Article 328 of the Criminal Code of Belarus "trafficking of narcotic drugs" was initiated against Klim Malazhavy.

It was informed on the official page of the Botanic Project band, that on December 12, Klim Malazhavy was sentenced to 9 years in prison.

The reggae band Botanic Project celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2016. On October 22, on the birthday of the band, the musicians posted its fifth studio album "Fairy Tale" on the Internet. Late in November the group presented its album in Minsk.

Fans of the band and Internet users are shocked by the sentence: "they give less for a murder than for a marijuana joint," "they will soon be shooting for the marijuana."
