Scandalous Natallia Kachanava Heads Lukashenka’s Administration
NATALLIA KACHANAVA

Deputy Head of the National Olympics Committee Maxim Ryzhankou has become her deputy.

Natallia Kachanava, the Vice-PM of Belarus, has become the Head of Lukashenka’s administration. Maxim Ryzhankou, the Deputy Head of the National Olympics Committee, has been appointed as Deputy Head of the presidential administration. The “Belarus-1” TV-channel has informed this in the afternoon on December 21.

According to the TV-channel, “Natallia Kachanava, who used to be the Vice-PM of Belarus, has been appointed to the position of the Head of Lukashenka’s administration. Maxim Ryzhankou, the Deputy Head of the National Olympics Committee, has become the Deputy Head of the presidential administration”.

We remind herewith, on December 5, 2016 Aliaksandr Kosinets and Kanstantsin Martynetski were dismissed from their positions of the Head and the Deputy Head of Lukashenka’s administration correspondingly due to the transfer to other work. The officials maintained at their positions for not very long – two years and a year and a half. Nothing has been reported about their new jobs yet.

Natallia Kachanava obtained notoriety at the position of the Vice Prime Minister by her scandalous statements and initiatives.

On the eve of taking the decision about the retirement age raise in Belarus, it was Mrs. Kachanava who claimed inevitability of this initiative and said directly that “the retirement age in this country is too low.”

In February 2016, Natallia Kachanava said that young coaches should practice adequate self-evaluation and be happy with the salary of $ 60.

In August 2016, the Vice-PM stated that teachers in Belarus have “good wages”, and those who think it’s not enough should not expect any assistance from the state but rather go for some moonlighting.

Mrs. Kachanava was an active supporter of denomination in Belarus and claimed that this measure “will simplify the everyday life of the citizens”. Several days after the new banknotes had been released, Kachanava shared her impressions: “I think there is no particular agiotage in the country. This morning I was going to work and easily picked up the new money from a cash machine. I think the people will adjust very quickly.”

This November, it has been reported that Natallia Kachanava started building a cottage in Drazdy. The official’s house will cost as an average salary of a Belarusian citizen for 175 years.
