Military Men For Guarding Belarusian NPP Trained In St.Petersburg

The military unit for protection of the Belarusian NPP will be placed at the spot of permanent dislocation in early January.

Deputy Interior Minister, Commander of the internal troops, General-Major Yury Karaeu has informed this, BelTA reports.

“Approximately in early January, the unit will be placed in the permanent dislocation spot,” – Karaeu has said.

The frame of the unit has already been formed, the Deputy Minister has clarified.

The military men who will guard the Belarusian NPP go through the special training both in Belarus and in Russia, under the agreement with the National Guard.

“Several groups study in St.Petersburg in turns. The groups include specialists in technical means of guarding, commanders of the guard, and checkpoints lookouts,” – Karaeu has told.

As previously reported, the military unit #7434 would fulfill the task of the physical guarding of the Belarusian NPP. One battalion will guard the NPP, about 300 military men. According to the plan, the military men will start taking over the objects for secure keeping since April 2017, and the military unit will have been fully formed by September 2017.
