Belarus Sharply Decreases Export Duties For Oil

Previously, the rate of the export customs duties on crude oil and petroleum products were changed on December 1.

Since January 1, 2017 Belarus reduces export duties on oil and oil products exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the press-center of the government informed on Friday. The relevant decision is contained in the Council of Ministers’ decision # 1095 dated December 28, 2016.

According to the press-center, "the rate of the export duty on crude oil will be reduced from $ 90,4 to $ 79,1 per 1 ton, the duty on straight-run gasoline will be reduced from $ 64,1 to $ 43,5 per 1 ton, and on commercial gasoline - from $ 55,1 to $ 23,7 per 1 ton".

The duty on light, medium distillates will be $ 23,7 per 1 ton (it was $ 36,1). The same duty is set on diesel, benzene, toluene, xylenes, and other lubricating oils, the agency’s interlocutors clarified.

We remind, the rates of the export customs duties on crude oil and certain categories of goods produced of oil changed on December 1 for the last time. Then they were also reduced - from $92,7 to $90,4 US per ton.
