The government, as usual, is trying to shift all the blame on somebody else.

During the meeting with Head of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Stanislaw Karchevsky, Chairman of the Council of Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich reminded of the Card of the Pole, saying that the parties "should not avoid uncomfortable topics."

Journalist Andrzej Poczobut contemplates "whether the Card of the Pole damages the interests of the country,” Radio Racyja reports.

"This issue requires a serious study at the level of experts,” — Myasnikovich said. — This policy encourages the emigration of young, highly qualified specialists from Belarus to Poland, and it must not prejudice the interests of my country. "

— If you look at the number of people who are leaving Belarus, according to the official statistics, the main direction is Russia, not Poland. It turns out that the emigration of Belarusians to Russia does not bother Myasnikovich in any way, and it is weird that he sees "damage" exactly in the Card of the Pole.

In my opinion, it's just some kind of artificial explanation of the processes taking place in Belarus. The problem of immigration exists and nobody hides it. Many people in the conditions of the existence of the present authorities do not see a future in their own country, and therefore go abroad. But the reason is not in the Card of the Pole, but in the policy pursued by the authorities, and in the situation that exists in the country.

— Is the Polish minority in Belarus interested in the card of the Pole?

— Of course, because the connection with Poland for the Polish national minority remains an important thing. I think, the government also understands why the same young people choose emigration, but do not want to admit it publicly. After all, in such a case, it would be a recognition of the bankruptcy of the Belarusian government policy. And then, it would be necessary to explain why people actually leave the country.
