Military men from the special operations forces of Belarus together with Russian airborne troops are to carry out “a humanitarian operation” at the North Pole.

A delegation of the officers of the Russian airborne troops command arrived to Minsk in order to discuss joint training and combat activities in the first half of 2016, Interfax reports with a reference to the press-service of the Defence Ministry of Russia.

“The key joint events of the Russian airborne troops and Special operations forces of Belarus in the current year are to become not only special tactical training and bilateral exercises, but also participation of the military of the friendly state in the upcoming operation at the Northern Pole,” – the report reads.

It is also written there, that the plans of Russian and Belarusian military include exchange of experience of training special units’ military with the help of at a modern trainer “A Test Tube”, use of modern oxygen equipment when performing high-level drops and other.

The joint exercises of the units of the two countries are held every year for “strengthening co-operation in the defence sphere.”
