Tycoon Yury Chyzh Arrested

One of the influential businessmen of Belarus, a member of Lukashenka’s inner circle, has been detained by the KGB.

This information was received from users of the website and confirmed by several informed sources, tut.by reports.

“There was a classical “show of the armed and masked men” in the office of Triple company. The KGB detained company executives,” – the users wrote.

“You should realize that nothing could have happened without Lukashenka’s sanction. But he (Yury Chyzh) was in disgrace for a few months already. So it could not be said that a member of Lukashenka’s team has been detained,” – the interlocutor said. “His influence could be ebbing, but not so much that he would give up fighting for his business, which started more than 20 ago. Don’t run before the hounds. Everything is going to be alright,” – a person from Chyzh entourage retorts.

Yury Chyzh’s misfortunes started soon after his partner Uladzimir Yapryntsau was detained. There was a conflict between them. And opinions of business circles were split over participation of the main owner of Triple in the situation. Some of them believed that Chyzh should have lent his shoulder to his team-mate, while others thought that he was right to let Yapryntsau down.

“Yapryntsau’s son encountered some problem, and a huge sum of money was needed urgently in order to fix it, and as a father, Uladzimir wanted to save the situation. But finally, at the prompting of Yury, he landed in jail himself,” – a source said. “What friendship has to do with that? Nothing personal, only business, as they say. The Yapryntsaus ot into mischief – that’s their affairs,” – contradicts a person from Chyzh’s inner circle.

Representatives of Triple company refused to comment. Yury Chyzh does not answer the phone. The KGB could not be reached for comment.
