Rally In Support Of Nadiya Savchenko Held Near Russia’s Embassy In Minsk

A rally in support of the Ukrainian pilot, who is awaiting the verdict of the Russian court, was held in front of the Russia’s Embassy in Minsk.

About 20 persons have taken part in the rally in Minsk. Among the participants there were one of the leaders of the Young Front, Zmitser Dashkevich, the leader of Razam solidarity movement and the sole traders movement Ales Makaeu, an activist of European Belarus Maxim Viniarski. The participants were holding posters with the words Free Nadiya Savchenko, Putler To Nuremberg, Russia Means War, Glory To The Heroes! in different languages, Belorusskiye Novosti reports.

An activist Nina Bahinskaya had come to the embassy with a write-red-white flag, Radio Svaboda informs.

No one came out of the embassy to the protesters. A law-enforcer was filming the participants.

“We have always supported Ukraine. Everyone should be concerned with the situation with Savchenko. Putin is violating all laws. Savchenko is a hero of Ukraine. Our coming here is our solidarity and support to Nadiya Savchenko and Ukraine,”Viachaslau Siuchyk said.

Maxim Viniarski called upon all concerned people to come to the Embassy of Russia on March 9, when the verdict to Savchenko is to be announced.

These days rallies in support of Nadiya Savchenko are held in different towns worldwide.
