The investigation of the criminal case against Yauhen Baskin and his “Servolux” colleagues goes on.

The businessman has been released on bail. Head of the KGB press service Dzmitry Pabiarzhyn reports that to tut.by.

“The investigation is ongoing. Due to the fact that Yauhen Baskin has fully compensated the caused damage, the measure of restraint has been changed for a recognisance not to leave and appropriate behavior,” – the KGB representative says.

It’s not reported what amount Baskin has compensated.

We remind that on March 14 Yauhen Baskin along with 15 colleagues were arrested by the KGB. They are suspected of tax evasion on a large scale – the damage amounts to no less than 370 billion non-denominated rubles.

On March 15, chairman of the KGB Valery Vakulchyk reported that Yauhen Baskin and his chief financial officer had been detained in Minsk airport while attempting to flee abroad.

On March 22, businessman Yauhen Baskin was transferred to house arrest “in connection with newly discovered evidence.” The businessman did not comment on his arrest and release from the KGB remand prison.

At the end of 2015 criminal cases were initiated against two major structures involved, as well as Baskin, in fodder production and import of feed additives, – Senator Andrei Paulouski’s “Biokoma” and brothers Hilman and Viktar Raukou’s “Consul.” They are accused of tax evasion.
