Russian Model Accused Belarusian Fans Of Russophobia

Working in Belarus gave Alexandra Novaeva a “shock.”

Russian model Alexandra Novaeva, who was invited to the Belarusian TV program “Football Time” for the period of the European Championship, shared her impressions with the Tribune.

The guest from Moscow studied viewers’ comments in her address:

– Absolute Russophobia can be clearly seen in Belarusian fans. I’ve read a lot of nasty things.

The fact is that I came to Belarus to work for free. I was renting an apartment for two weeks for my own expense and was spending my own money. Therefore, when I was reading in Vkontakte comments something like “Why have they brought this awful, stupid, useless, Russian quail, and for Belarusian money, too,” that was a bit disappointing. I didn’t say much in the last couple of programs because I lost my voice as I had been really nervous because of all this Russophobia.

Novaeva admits that she has failed to perform as a TV presenter really well:

– When I was asked to become a TV presenter, I was delighted. Only I was shocked by the fact that the program was going to be on air live. It seemed to me that the “Football Time” program wasn’t broadcast live. I got scared. I had this fear when I was on air, too. I can say honestly, frankly and openly that the first five programs were a failure. This was obvious and easy to notice. I was worried. Well, it could happen to everyone ... I had some sort of stupor when I was on TV ...
