Famous journalist Pavel Sheremet died in a car blast on Wednesday morning, July 20.

According to the information of Ukrayinska Pravda, the car exploded on the corner of Bohdana Khmelnytskoho and Ivana Franka in Kyiv, in front of McDonalds.

This car belonged to the founding editor of Ukrayinska Pravda Olena Prytula, but she was not inside the car.

The blast took place at 7:45 am when Sheremet was driving the car. Police arrived on the site. As of 8:50 am, the Head of the National Police Khatia Dekanoidze is on the site of the attack.

Belarusian journalist Pavel Sheremet has lived in Kyiv for the past five years, worked for Ukrayinska Pravda, and was a radio host on Radio Vesti.
