Details Of Worker’s Death At Belarusian NPP Revealed

The Astravets district department of the Investigatory Committee is conducting a checking upon the fact of a worker’s death at the construction site of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant in close proximity to the village of Hoza, Astravets district, BelTA reports with a reference to the official representative of the Investigatory Committee of Belarus Yulia Hancharova.

“The tragedy happened on August 26 at about 4.20 p.m. After being injured by a metallic cylinder, a 43-year-old installation fitter of the construction structures died,” — Yulia Hancharova has informed.

According to her, the investigators examined the accident site together with experts to define the circumstances. “They have appointed forensic examinations. Eye-witnesses and executive officers, responsible for fulfillment of the security regulations, are being interrogated,” — Hancharova has said.

We remind, Astravets activist Mikalai Ulasevich was the first to inform about another tragic accident at the Belarusian NPP.

“Here is another accident that happened at the NPP construction site. Yesterday, approximately at 5 p.m., a man died – an oxygen cylinder fell on him and blasted. This is the ninth or the tenth victim of this infamous construction,” — the activist wrote on his Facebook page.
