Dictator Has Already Acquitted New Year "Shooter" In Uniform

A charge was filed against the Minsker, who was injured by a police officer on New Year Eve.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Belarus Ivan Naskevich said this today to journalists referring to Lukashenka's report, BelTA informs.

"The suspect has already been charged as part of the investigative process on the case. He was given the status of the accused and was charged with resisting a police officer performing his official duties on maintaining public order. Currently a preventive measure applied to him is custody while he is being treated in a hospital," – Ivan Naskevich said.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee noted, that Lukashenka had paid a special attention to this criminal investigation.

"The head of the country has stressed that no one has a right to resist police officers and especially to use violence against them, as this may result in the use of weapons among other things, which is, of course, is under the current legislation," – the head of the Investigative Committee emphasized.

As it was previously reported, the incident happened early in the morning on January 1st. The police received a phone call informing, that residents of a flat in the flat building №28 in Zviazda Newspaper Avenue were too noisy and the neighbors couldn’t sleep. The police arrived quickly, as the local police station is situated in the next building.

Three police officers arrived at the site and the owner of the flat, which had been complained about, came out to them. Needless to say, the 28-year-old employee of JSC Keramin was drunk. No one saw what happened next, as the guests were inside the apartment. But suddenly they heard the shots and ran out into the staircase landing.

According to witnesses, the policeman literally cold bloodedly shot the flat owner. Allegedly, he made one shot on the man's back, and the other one – on his legs. At that the policeman, who was shooting, immediately ran away from the scene, the other two policemen remained at the place.

Human rights activists say that the case against the police shooting on New Year's Eve is one-sided.
