Another Ukrainian Activist Not Allowed In Belarus On Russian Federation Orders

Belarusian border guards said that there was only one state for them – the "customs union".

Friends invited a resident of Ukraine to Belarus. The man did not manage to see them: "banned entry into Russia." And, accordingly, into Belarus, Belsat reports.

Yury Molfar was travelling to Belarus by bus. He had no problems at the Ukrainian part of the border, but, as soon as his passport got in the hands of Belarusian border guards, he was taken aside, questioned and searched. The first question was: "Have you been to Russia lately?"

"Arms sideward, feet astride, a search up to underwear," – Yuri Molfar wrote on Facebook.

Last time the man was in Russia 13 years ago.

Molfar’s interrogation lasted for about 4 hours. According to the Ukrainian, he was asked about his party affiliation and visits to Donbass.

"They asked about religion, horses, Chernobyl, but always returned to the question of the Donbass," – Molfar writes.

Finally, the Belarusian officials told the foreigner, that he was denied entry to Russia.

In response to the comment that "he is travelling to Belarus," the Ukrainian heard that "there is no Belarus – there is only the Customs Union."

The Belarusian-Russian agreement on mutual recognition of prohibitions on the entry has been in force since November 2015.

Minsk has made a commitment not to allow persons named in Russian "black lists" and expects the same step from the eastern neighbor. The agreement is, however, contains a point, which allows each party to make a decision on every citizen independently.

We remind that before the New Year Ukrainian activist Sergei Zamilyuhin was not let into Belarus on orders from Moscow.
